Baccarat Scoring
Baccarat hands are scored as follows: cards 2-9 are worth face value, 10's and face cards (J, Q, K) are worth zero, and Aces are worth 1 point.
You work out your score by adding all cards up and when the sum of the cards in a hand equals or exceeds 10, you subtract 10 (just ignore the "1" in other words.
So, for example, a hand that has a 3 and 5 is worth 8.
A hand that has 7 and 8 is worth 5 (7 + 8 = 15 = 5) - just drop the first digit on double digit scores.
A hand consisting of 3 and 7 is worth 0, or Baccarat (3 + 7 = 10 = 0).
Peculiarly to Baccarat, the name of the card game is actually the WORST hand.
The highest score that you can get is thus 9.
